Michael Szeiler

Transport Planner and Mobility Consultant, Rosinak & Partner

Michael Szeiler is 42 years old and lives in Vienna. He is the head of the Transport Planning and Consulting Department at Rosinak & Partner and has been with the firm since 1997.

Michael’s fields of expertise are transport and mobility concepts, transport planning and research, and consulting for administrations, architects and private companies. His ultimate vision is a sustainable city with a high quality of life for all citizens. Therefore, his favourite projects deal with cycling, walking, public transport, public space, and mobility management.

A resident of the bicycle-friendly housing project Bike City, where he is also head of the residents’ community, Michael cycles the city every day of the year, no matter the weather.

Michael Szeiler graduated from the Technical University of Vienna with a degree in mechanical engineering before completing his graduate studies in mediation and conflict management at the University of Klagenfurt. He is a member of the ECF Scientists for Cycling Network and the Austrian Research Association Road-Railway-Transport.
